IQ Book – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to IQ Book (“we,” “our,” “us”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

The App is a skill-based educational platform for the Pakistani audience, designed to enhance knowledge, learning, and entertainment through interactive quizzes and challenges.

1. Eligibility

• The App is intended for users aged 13 years and above.
• Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to use the App.
• By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. User Accounts & Data Usage

We collect limited information, including:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (Optional)
• Date of Birth
• Device and usage data

Purpose of Data Collection:

• Account authentication & management
• Fraud prevention
• Product Functionality (Verification for scholarship eligibility and academic standing)
• Enabling gameplay features (challenges, referrals)
• App improvement and performance
• Advertisement delivery via third-party services such as Google AdMob.

User Rights:

• Users may delete their account anytime via settings.
• Personal data is not sold to third parties.

Available in all challenges:

• Skip
• Split
• Pause
• Time Booster

Power-Ups are strategic tools to manage gameplay, but do not guarantee rewards.

NOTE: Power-Ups are acquired through gameplay or rewarded ads and are never sold or distributed via randomized ‘loot boxes’ or paid mechanisms.

5. Level System

Users start at Bronze level.

Level progression is based only on skill-based performance metrics such as:

• Accuracy rate
• Win rate in challenges
• Total matches completed
• Consistency of gameplay

Levels include: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Legend.

Stars do not directly determine level progression.

6. Gameplay Modes

• Brain Test (Individual Mode)

  • Organized in batches of 10 timed questions.
  • Questions include explanations for incorrect answers or timeouts.
  • Stars are awarded based on accuracy and correct answers.
  • Negative marking applies; Skip Power-Up may be used to continue.
  • At the end of each batch, users see:
    
    • Accuracy percentage
    • Total Stars earned
• Rapid Fire Challenges
  
  • Each session contains 5 rounds of 5 easy, learning-focused questions.
  • Stars are awarded only for correct answers on the result screen.
• 1v1 Brain Challenge
  

  • Head-to-head match between two users.

  • The winner is determined based on:
    
    • Highest accuracy
    • If tied, fastest completion time
  • Winner receives a fixed Stars bonus based on performance.
  • Loser will receive 0 bonus.
  • If a user scores below 50% accuracy, they are disqualified and receive no bonus for that match.

NOTE: All gameplay outcomes are skill-based.

7. Referral System

• Users may invite others to join the App, subject to a total limit.
• Referrers may receive in-app benefits such as Stars or gameplay advantages.
• Abuse, including exceeding referral limits, using fake accounts, or sending spam invitations, may result in account suspension.
• All referral benefits are skill-based and do not involve real-money rewards.

Referrals do not influence scholarship eligibility or level progression.

8. Scholarship Grant & Disclaimer

• Independent Sponsorship: This program is solely sponsored by IQBOOK. It is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Google LLC, Apple Inc. (Apple is not involved in any way with the contest or sweepstakes), or Alphabet Inc. (AdMob).

• Participation in the App and eligibility for scholarships are void where prohibited by law.

• Merit-Based: Scholarship selection is based on aggregated in-app performance metrics such as: 

  • Accuracy across gameplay modes
  • Consistency of participation over time
  • Competitive ranking performance

• Eligibility is evaluated holistically and is not determined by Stars, purchases, or any in-app currency.

• Eligible users who meet all merit-based benchmarks may submit an application directly within the App. All applications are reviewed by the IQBOOK committee based on aggregated performance data and submitted information. No payments or purchases are required to apply or receive a grant.

This program is skill-based and does not involve gambling, betting, or chance-based outcomes. No entry fee is required.

IQBOOK reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the scholarship program at any time without prior notice.

9. Advertisements

• The App is supported by ads via Google AdMob.
• Ad types include banners, interstitials, and rewarded ads.
• Rewarded ads provide only temporary, non-transferable gameplay assistance (Power-Ups) or for unlocking challenges, not Stars. 
• Users must not interfere with ad delivery, use ad-blocking software, or generate fake ad interactions.
• The provision of rewards via Rewarded Ads is subject to successful ad completion as determined by the ad network.
• Users must not engage in fraudulent or invalid ad interactions, including generating artificial clicks or impressions.

10. Fair Play & Anti-Fraud

Prohibited activities include:

• • Bots or automation
  • Fake referrals or accounts
  • Exploiting game mechanics

Violations may result in:

• Permanent account suspension
• Loss of Stars and rewards
• Disqualification from scholarship eligibility

11. Service Limitations

The App is not responsible for:

• Internet disruptions
• Device malfunctions
• Interrupted gameplay
• Loss of Stars due to gameplay rules

12. Account Deletion

Users may delete their account anytime via settings, which permanently removes all personal data associated with the account.

13. Modifications

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
